Mt Suswa located in Narok County, is a double crater volcano on the Rift Valley floor. On this expedition, expect to visit caves, hot springs and to enjoy the beauty and serenity that surrounds Mt Suswa. We shall camp at the lower rim and have a bonfire experience then hike the higher rim on day 2 morning. Scroll for detailed itinerary.
7 AM; Meet at Nairobi CBD Bata Hilton
9 AM; Aboard train at Rongai Train Station
11 AM; Arrive at Suswa Train Station
We meet our van and guide. Shopping/lunch (own cost) in Suswa town.
Leave for Mt Suswa.
Visit the caves and hot springs.
Pitch our tents.
Enjoy a bonfire experience as we enjoy dinner together.
6 AM; Hiking team leaves for the crater. The hike around the crater is 22 Km and it takes takes 6-7 hours. It is rated moderate to hard.
1 PM; Back to camp. Leave for Nairobi.
